What is The Organix Foundation?
We are a grant-giving body, funded by the profits of Organix Brands Ltd.

How was the Foundation set up?
The Organix Foundation was set up to stimulate research into and projects to promote better quality food provision for babies and children. The money to set up and continue the work of OF came from the profits made by the babyfood company Organix and from personal donations from the founders of Organix. OF is an independent body with independent trustees who distribute money to projects and causes that best fit our funding criteria. We back projects that aim to find links between the quality of food and children’s health. We also grant funds to inform or encourage the provision of better food choices available to parents and children.
What does The Organix Foundation have to do with Organix the baby and children’s food company?
Organix Brands Ltd is a company that makes and sells organic baby and children’s foods. Each year, the company donates an amount of its profits to the foundation and the Foundation also receives donations from private individuals who wish to support independent research into child health. An independent board of trustees heads The Organix Foundation. Currently there are three members on the board and by the end of 2011 there will be 5 Trustees in all. All trustees have equal ranking votes and decisions on funding are made on a simple majority. OF is wholly independent of Organix Brands Ltd. as is required by its charitable status. How do you choose which projects to support?
OF is not currently taking new applications for funding except for student projects). Trustees are currently completing a number of projects and assessing future areas that they would like to support. It is likely that appropriate organisations will be invited to do specific projects in future. Details of projects currently funded can be found on Our Project page
